ABSTRACT
Abstract The differences between concrete strength measured on standard specimens and strength measured directly in the structure are first enumerated, together with possibilities for mutual conversation. Subsequently, numerical data are presented regarding the addi tional variability of in-structure strengths, as well as the uncertainties related to the calibration of in-situ methods for strength evaluation. Finally, a couple of practical problems are discussed.
