ABSTRACT
This chapter is about Oracle Smart View, the default Essbase user interface, which can also interact with other software products. For many users, Essbase and Smart View are components of a larger solution combining a variety of technologies, in particular Hyperion Planning, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), and Essbase. This chapter looks exclusively at the relationship between Smart View and Essbase, excluding from the discussion interactions between Smart View and other software products.
