Introduction In the acute se tting d iaphragm injuries are generally n o t life th rea ten in g b u t can
be associated w ith a significant m o rb id ity an d m o rta lity d ue to associated in juries or h e rn ia tio n w ith card io p u lm o n ary com prom ise . In ad d itio n , if u n d e tec ted in the acute setting , delayed p resen ta tion o f d iaph ragm atic hernias carries an increased risk o f com plications.
