ABSTRACT
In this technique, polymerization or fragmentation and recombination of precursor takes place in gas phase. As a result a polymeric/chemical layer deposits on the surface of the substrate. The deposited layer physically adheres to the surface of substrate. Physical adherence ultimately gives less wash durable effect on the substrate. Figure 4.1 shows the schematic of the process. Some of the recent studies based on this process are given in Table 4.1.
