ABSTRACT

This chapter explains how to perform fundus examination by using direct ophthalmoscopy. It examines the macula and optic-nerve head for the identification of pathology. The chapter provides a list of equipment required for performing the fundus examination. It presents step-by-step procedures for performing the fundus examination. The chapter also explains how to examine the red reflex, the cornea, the lens, and the posterior segment.
