Figure 20.1 shows the architecture of the agents for services management. ere are separate agents for hardware health monitoring and two types of agents for each service. e rst agent is embedded in the service itself for provision of alerts and internal monitoring of service data. e second agent is installed on the server and provides a sweep of monitor les, either periodically or on demand. ere is a commercial implementation of this process [111].
