ABSTRACT
Investigations Diagnosis confi rmed by low thyroxine (T4) in the presence of raised thyroid ➤ stimulating hormone (TSH). Other abnormalities that may be noted include anaemia, which can be macrocytic ➤ or normochromic and normocytic, hyponatraemia, raised creatine kinase (CK) in patients with myopathy and mild abnormality of liver function tests (LFTs).
