ABSTRACT

Uterine malformation affects around 7% of the population, and approximately 14% of women who suffer recurrent miscarriage. Congenital uterine malformation occurs as a result of abnormal Mullerian duct development. A spectrum of variation exists. There may be a uterine septum, or a bicornuate uterus, uterus didelphys (double uterus), unicornuate uterus (single-sided uterus), or complete uterine agenesis.
