ABSTRACT
In this chapter, the latest developments in ERP are discussed in detail. The concept of ERP II is explained. The ways customers can configure reports on their own are listed. The chapter also talks about how machine integration is becoming a key factor in getting real-time data. It also details how ERP is associated with acquiring business intelligence (BI). ERP’s association with customer relationship management (CRM), supply chain management (SCM), and product lifecycle management (PLM) for doing better business is explained. The cloud concept is described by throwing light on Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). The latest development of mobile ERP is also discussed in this chapter.
