ABSTRACT
In this chapter, the process of implementing ERP is discussed. Initially the chapter discusses the change management process as employees of a company get ready to use ERP. The process of evaluating and selecting the right ERP for a textile and apparel company is explained in detail, as it will be very useful for selecting the right type of ERP with appropriate features. A business process study to be carried out before ERP implementation is described with specific focus on customizing ERP to be effective for company’s operations. The implementation process starting from software explanation is discussed along with the training process different users go through to use ERP effectively in the organization. Post-ERP implementation activities are also briefly discussed for a complete understanding of the process of implementation.
