ABSTRACT
Request Request to examine the rest of the peripheral vascular system as follows: feel the radial and carotid pulses, listen for a carotid bruit at the angle of the mandible and palpate for radial-femoral delay (coarctation of aorta). Also request to perform a cardiovascular examination (to auscultate the heart) and an abdominal examination (to feel the abdomen for an aortic aneurysm). State that you would also like to measure the ankle brachial pulse index (ABPI).
