ABSTRACT
Use a zigzag motion to swab the wound surface and rotate swab during swabbing. Attempt to swab the whole wound surface. If the wound site is very large, swabbing a number of small areas is acceptable. Ensure that no area of the cotton bud swab has been swabbed twice.
