ABSTRACT
The quarry operator has to monitor all blasts during
the whole operational time for the quarry in order to
comply with legislation and regulations regarding
the environmental conditions set down in Sweden
for quarries. In the particular case of the quarry in
Jordbro, it is planned to be operational for 10 years.
During this time the quarry owner has the responsibil-
ity to conduct vibration measurements and to produce
yearly reports to the authority, in this case the county
of Stockholm that demonstrates appropriate supervi-
sion of the quarries.
