ABSTRACT
Thyroid pathologies are a spectrum of disease with generally good biological behavior in most instances. Appropriate investigations and management of thyroid disorders require a harmonious thought process and planning between the surgeon, pathologist, and radiologist. Throughout the following text, we endeavor to elucidate nuances in thyroid cytopathology and histology. The effort on the part of the pathologist is to provide meaningful information that can impact on treatment and follow-up.
