ABSTRACT
The external class mechanism was very briefl y introduced in section 6.4 of Part 2 (Thermoptim presentation), without detailed examples, explanations being primarily intended for users. In this chapter, for designers1, we show how to create simple external classes, giving explanations allowing one to understand their construction principles.
