Of all the environments affected by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the one most universally impacted is the office. Typically, the spaces we work in are at least in part open to the public and thus covered under the public accommodation section. And, of course, the employment provisions are directly related to the office. Flexible workstation design is needed to meet the demands of a multigenerational and diverse workforce. Employers need to be able to manipulate work environments across the age groups.
