ABSTRACT
Computer technologies are becoming more and more important for rural and agricultural development for all the countries, many computer systems have been developed to help agricultural scientists, extension workers, administrators, and farmers. Computer techniques have become a powerful means for modernization of agriculture, many countries established academic societies and research centers for Information technologies in agriculture. It is necessary for experts from developed and developing countries to exchange ideas together, the special session can provide a platform for experts from developed and developing countries to come together and get familiar with each other. This proceedings records the papers presented the the International e-Conference on Computer Science 2006 (IeCCS 2006) from 28 June to 8 July 2006, a special session on Computer and network Applications in Agriculture was held from 2 July to 8 July 2006.
