ABSTRACT
A large variety of chemistries and techniques exist presently [1, 2] to protect pressure-sensitive adhesive or tacky materials from unintended contact with other surfaces by release (properties that are opposite of adhesion) coatings. Silicone-based release coatings dominate the market because they have a reliably low release force as compared to other coatings.
