ABSTRACT

In the present section, we consider an abstract model of a half-space whose free surface coincides with the coordinate plane 203. Axis 1 is directed from the surface into the half-space. The entire surface of the half-space oscillates according to law (1.5.6) and emits a wave propagating along axis 1. This surface is called an unbounded plane emitter. The term “unbounded” is used to reflect the infinite dimensions of the emitter in the directions of axes 2 and 3.
