Pore pressure measurements during rapid pile load tests in a geotechnical centrifuge

An equivalent load-displacement diagram can be derived from the measured pile behavior under a rapid load test. The measured force and displacement during a rapid load test does not directly give the load-displacement diagram for a static situation, and further interpretation is required. As it is generally accepted that the pile’s inertia should be taken into account, the acceleration of the pile is also measured during a rapid test.
