Centrifuge modeling of a geotextile-reinforced slope during earthquake

A shaking table, which was specially manufactured for this centrifuge machine, was used to generate a simulated earthquake for the seismic model tests via a complex hydraulic pressure servo-system. This wave lasted 1 s, with a maximum acceleration of 9.7 g in the model dimension (Fig. 1), equivalent to 0.194 g in the prototype dimension at a centrifugal acceleration of 50 g.
