ABSTRACT
The UENF geotechnical centrifuge is installed in a dedicated building with a 450 m2 of constructed area. The building also encompasses offices, a control room, a model preparation room, a comprehensive soil mechanics laboratory (saturated and unsaturated triaxial tests) and a dedicated machinery room. The latter is exclusive for manufacturing the models and special devices to be used in centrifuge testing. A picture of the building is shown in Figure 1.
