ABSTRACT
Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) consist of a number of autonomous nodes called motes. A function of node in a WSN is to perform monitoring tasks about phenomena occurring in the environment with the goal of making decisions for a specifi c application, according to the information collected. Every node, or mote, has at least one sensor. A sensor is a device that converts an input signal to another kind of output signal is a transducer.
