ABSTRACT

Wood is a strongly hygroscopic material, which means that it can easily exchange moisture with the environment [1,2]. Moisture affects both dimensional stability and mechanical properties of wood products. Persistent high levels of moisture content in wood products can also contribute to its biological degradation.
