ABSTRACT

Special attention to these polymers is defined by their specific feature, which is orientation in the melt, mostly associated with the intense development in computer technologies. Owing to this property such polymers are devoted to the "family" of liquid-crystal polymers. The liquid-crystal properties are also observed for PAl with uneven number of CH2-groups [42]. It should be noted that polyalkanimide (PA-12), discussed in Chapter 1, also displays liquid-crystal properties under definite processing modes.
