ABSTRACT
When a premixed £ame propagates in a turbulent £ow, the heat release in the £ame affects the turbulence, which, in turn, affects the burning rate. The former effects were discussed in Chapter 6, while the physical mechanisms of the latter effects were considered in Chapter 5. The focus of this chapter is on modeling the effects of turbulence on a premixed £ame.
