ABSTRACT
The goal of this chapter is to summarize the general knowledge on gas mixtures that is relevant to turbulent combustion. The summary is very brief because the terms, quantities, and equations addressed in the following sections are discussed in detail in proper general courses, for example, thermodynamics, chemistry, and £uid dynamics.
