ABSTRACT
It is easy to evenly distribute points around the circumference of a circle to any desired precision. But doing the same on the surface of the sphere is very difficult. In this section, we see there are several different perspectives on what an “even” point distribution means. We are particularly interested in techniques that can compare the uniformity of one distribution to another.
