Natural water retention, a no-regret measure against future water-related risks and an opportunity for local communication

ABSTRACT: Three AMICE pilot investments are using natural water retention as a means to adapt to future climate conditions and associated water-related risks. The benefits of this technique are highlighted and call for the creation of a network of similar local projects on the Meuse catchment. Experiences on communication towards the local population are also described, as they are an integral part of the success and promotion of these measures.
