ABSTRACT
Overview Ganglion cysts at any location in the body are believed to be formed by over
growth or herniation of the synovial capsule, producing a pedunculated bulge asso ciated with a nearby joint. These are most commonly seen in the wrist and hand, but can also be seen at other joints (e.g., Bakers cyst in the knee).
