ABSTRACT
A n upper arm PAVF between the cephalic vein and the brachial artery should be
considered in the setting of a thrombosed, nonsalvageable forearm access. This is
especially useful when there is a dilated, and therefore ready to use upper arm cepha-
lic vein following a failed forearm access.
