C oronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) on the beating heart has become a widely applied procedure. OPCAB grafting is quite attractive because of the obvious advantages of avoiding cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB)-related complications. However, the limi­ tations to this approach have been a higher rate of incomplete revascularization and the threat of intra-operative hemodynamic instability.
