ABSTRACT
Introduction Epithelial ovarian cancer is the leading cause o f morbidity and mortality from
gynecologic malignancies in the United States. Disease is most often detected at an advanced stage, which is associated with less favorable outcomes. Currently, there is no reliable screening test to detect early stage disease and primary prevention is unproven and controversial.
