ABSTRACT
Sporotrichosis is a subcutaneous, granulomatous, subacute or chronic mycosis usually localized on the face and extemities. It affects the lymphatics and rarely the lungs, bones, or joints. The causative organism is the dimorphic fungus, Sporothrix scheckii.
