ABSTRACT
Chromoblastomycosis is a chronic, subcutaneous mycosis caused by a group of black-pigmented (dematiaceous) fungi, mainly from the genuses Fonsecaea, Phialophora and Cladosporium. It is characterized by warty nodules usually localized to the lower extremities.
