ABSTRACT
Over the last few years, due to the increasing number of people spending holidays abroad in particularly attractive geographical areas, we are starting to see patients who have contracted tropical diseases in endemic countries. One example that confirms this new tendency is Tungiasis (in different countries: chigoe infestation, nigua, bicho dos pes, moukardam), which was formerly restricted to the equatorial zones of the world.
