We end this book by considering an important aspect of how the everexpanding knowledge of our genome, our genes, and genetics is being used to make a positive impact on the health of society: genetic testing. And we discuss ethical concerns and the impact on society of the genetic technologies that are being applied, or might be applied in the near future, toward both diagnosis and treatment.
