ABSTRACT
Multiphase reactors (e.g. packed beds, emulsion phase reactors, slurry bubble columns and two-and three-phase fluidised beds) are used to carry out various chemical and biochemical reactions. These reactors also find use in pollution control equipment. The models for multiphase systems without chemical reactions can be developed using laws of conservation.
