ABSTRACT
Pheochromocytomas are tumors that secrete catecholamines and other peptide hormones. Pheochromocytoma is a rare cause of hypertension, but are important to detect because tumor removal can be curative of hypertension as well as eliminating serious risks, especially sudden death, which can occur during extreme strees (such as pregnancy or surgery).
