ABSTRACT

Mr George Maros has been recently diagnosed with end-stage kidney disease and, therefore, he has to undergo dialysis treatment until an organ is available for transplantation. Initially, he was shocked and scared by his prognosis. After taking some time to process the situation, he now feels sad but, more importantly, stressed as he feels uncertain about his future. He shares his sentiments with Ms Judith Maclean, a nurse at the haemodialysis department.
