ABSTRACT
Mrs Chun Bowie is a Chinese migrant, living in the UK. She visits her local GP clinic for symptoms of dizziness and fatigue. Chun had never truly embraced western medicine and, initially, had tried alternative medicine to cure her symptoms. When this did not work, she decided to listen to a friend’s advice and seek the help of western medicine. She arranges an appointment with her local GP and now fi nds herself waiting to see the doctor. While waiting, she is approached by a senior medical student, Jason Krypton.
