ABSTRACT

To obtain the functional dependence of the speed of propagation of sound waves in the magnetic fluid and the concentration of the solid phase, it is necessary to use the ‘additive’ model of formation of elasticity, available for the dispersed media [8, 93-96]. The calculation equation is derived using the following procedure: initially, assuming that there is no heat exchange between the components of a hypothetical dispersed system, we obtain the expression for cSS and, subsequently, taking into account the interphase (‘internal’) heat exchange and the magnetic fluid, we obtain the expression for calculating cST. It is assumed that the density of the stabiliser and the carrier fluid are approximately equal to each other and, therefore, we use the relationship: ρ ρ ϕ ρ ϕ= − +1 21( ) .
