ABSTRACT
A syringe driver is a small battery-operated device that is used to administer medication subcutaneously (under the skin) when swallowing is a problem. Not all medication can be given this way, but there are a variety of drugs that can be used in a syringe driver to control symptoms such as pain, nausea, agitation and chest secretions.
