ABSTRACT
An investment in time and money is necessary for proactive water quality monitoring as described in this book. Although there is no guarantee that water quality problems will be prevented from arising with proactive water quality monitoring, there is a better opportunity to understand the factors that influence the water system, to control those factors, and to take quick action if the system is heading out of control.
