ABSTRACT
In this review, we 1) summarize the prevalence studies of panic disorder, alcohol, and other substance use disorders, and the comorbid ity of these conditions, 2) explore reasons for the coexistence of these disorders, 3) present an overview of treatment approaches to dealing with comorbidity, and 4) make recommendations regarding future epi demiological, etiological, and therapeutic studies.
