ABSTRACT
Studies of the trace element geochemistry have contributed much to our understanding of the oceans, their circulation, and the complex interactions between chemistry and biology. Lessons learned over the last 30 years coupled with advances in technology mean that, as long as the practitioner pays careful attention to detail, consistent data can readily be produced.
