ABSTRACT

Classes certainly play a salient role in the communication process; however, classes only serve as a way to preach to the choir. That is, lectures to a class are lectures to those who either already believe or who want to believe. A large part of risk communication takes place between the purveyors of risk technology and those who are skeptical or downright hostile, or those whose positions are buffeted by the results of the risk assessment. Excellent communication skills and processes are crucial.
