ABSTRACT
One of the major applications of remotely sensed data obtained from Earthorbiting satellites is change detection (Anderson, 1977; Nelson, 1983). Change detection, defined as the process of identifying differences in the state of an object or phenomenon by observing it at different times (Singh, 1989), is useful in extracting environmental changes.
