ABSTRACT
Pathogenic fungi can attack a very wide range of plants, and by doing so can cause very serious lossestoagriculturalandhorticulturalcrops(Agrios,1988;AlexopolousandMimms,1996;Chen andDickman,2005;Doehlmannetal.,2006;Heydari,2007;Heydarietal.,2005;Heydariand Misaghi,2003;Mayeretal.,2001;Ortonedaetal.,2004;Parketal.,2005;ScullyandBidochka, 2006;St.Legeretal.,2000;Zakietal.,1998).Agreatdealofresearchhasbeencarriedouttostudy the pathogens, but very little consideration has been given to the mechanisms involved in the pathogenicprocessofthesetypesoforganisms.Asaresultoffungalpathogenattack,differentstressful conditionsareinducedandcreatedinplantsandcrops.Inthisreview,anattemptwillbemadeto describe and discuss these stresses.
