ABSTRACT
This study analyzes the 1,330 occurrence messages for the sector OR received between the years 2000 and 2006 by the German Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM). The connection between the usability errors of the medical devices and the damage of patients and co-workers is shown, as well as thereupon taken measures of the manufacturers.
